Although Mary Harris Jones died over 85 years ago her legacy still lives on. She inspired many to stand up for what they believe in. Almost 45 years after she died a magazine was created in her honor called “Mother Jones”. She also wrote an autobiography. It’s one of the most memorable stories about her life in the working industry. She is a dedicated woman who is always going to be remembered for her heroic actions. But what people don’t know is without her we could still have the brutal labor struggles the workers had to face. She got Children’s Labor Laws passed allowing children to got to school for a brighter future. She participated in strikes and helped lower working hours. Her actions got the people more sane working conditions, with better pay and a much safer environment. Mary never stopped and always went for what’s right. She was an unbreakable woman who inspired millions. She changed the working industry and it has made all the difference in the world.
Mary wanted the workers to be free and show the world what hey were capable of.
